I am hosting a session on making social media experiences fun, engaging and educational.

Branding & Social Media 101 For Accounting Professionals

  • Thursday, 21 September 2023 - 11:00 - 12:15

Social media can be a fun and rewarding experience. Yes, I said fun. It can also be immensely educational. Whether you are socially shy or want to go all in on your digital life, this session will be all about projecting your genuine self in easy-to-follow, actionable steps. We will start with how to build a brand identity kit that will make it easy to post a consistent and genuine vision of you and your business. We will run through the social media and digital options to get your brand out there in a simple-to-implement manner. Then we will discuss how to create a professional, rewarding social media experience for you and your firm. “You are what you call up in the universe. If you call up positive experiences, not only will the universe deliver, but your social media feeds will as well.”

I am also doing a session with my app partner Dext.

Data Redundancy: Location, Location, Location!

As more and more processes and documentation become cloud-based, multiple-location data redundancy is no longer a nice to have but a must-have. It is essential for your business and your clients’ businesses.

One location is not enough. Outages happen. Accidents happen. Hardware failures happen! The ability to minimize disruptions and ensure business continuity must be a part of your process.

Where do you start? How do you implement and ensure compliance?

We’ll go over why 3-location redundancy (and why 2-factor authentication is crucial), along with tips on backing up your existing accounting and business software and which apps you should look at to help ensure your business runs smoothly in the face of disruption.
