Keep It Simple!

Often a simple solution can solve a big problem.

Drying laundry takes too long, uses precious resources, but I hate hanging it out… so I don’t.

I looked for a simple solution to solve my errant (bad human) ways and found something fun.

TruEarth Wool dryer balls

They shorten drying a full load of towels to half an hour, but they also soften fabric as well. I have never used fabric softener before - it seemed too “chemically” to me - so I consider this a bonus of my simple solution.

I also get the TruEarth detergent sheets because that was another resource-sucking pain in the butt; bringing home septic-challenging pods or heavy liquid schtuff and then storing them in my small cabin.

So you’re thinking, “um, Kellie, how does this relate to running my business?”.

Well, dear reader, it relates because, as business owners, we often overlook implementing simple solutions to solve our problems.

We are tech-overwhelmed and trying to find solutions that solve every problem rather than a single pressing one.

One of my favourite, most simple solves was implementing Acuity, a scheduler app. It changed my business day from an “appointment scheduling time-sucking” mess to “I have an app for that” bliss.
